UpRes (upres.ai) is an AI image and video upscaler that increases resolution to 4K (3840×2160) or 8K (7680×4320) using one of 18 specialist models. The right model is chosen based on content type — Real-ESRGAN for photos and landscapes, Crystal Upscaler for product shots, Bria Increase Resolution for portraits and faces, SeedVR2 for video. A free tier provides 5 upscales every month with no credit card. The Pro plan is $19/month for 100 images at 4K with 10 video upscales and commercial licensing. The Business plan is $49/month for 500 images at 8K, 60 video upscales, priority queue, and a public REST API. Pay-as-you-go pricing starts at $0.002 per image. Files up to 50 MB (images) and 2 GB (video) are accepted; originals are deleted 24 hours after the job completes. UpRes does not train models on user uploads.

- **Supported formats** — Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC. Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM. Output format configurable per model.
- **Max file size** — 50 MB per image, 2 GB per video. Resumable tus uploads — a lost connection does not restart the upload.
- **Processing time** — Images: 5–30 seconds. Video: 1–5× real-time duration. Business tier gets priority queue.
- **Commercial license** — Included on Pro, Business, and PAYG. Free tier is personal/evaluation only.
- **API** — Business plan exposes the same job queue: POST file URL + model, poll for result. OpenAPI 3.1 spec at /v1/openapi.json.
