Cadence
Adds in-between frames
Frame interpolation for smoother motion. It does not enlarge the picture. Use Motion or Motion X when you need a bigger frame.
Output is built from detail already present in your file. Nothing is generated, so the result stays true to what you uploaded.
What Cadence is for
Cadence interpolates frames. A choppy clip gets in-between frames so motion reads more smoothly.
It does not change the resolution and it does not invent a new scene. The frames it adds are the motion between the ones you uploaded.
When to pick Cadence
Low frame rate
A clip shot or exported at too few frames per second.
Slow motion prep
More frames before you slow a shot down.
Not an upscale
Use Motion or Motion X when the picture itself needs to be larger.
Frequently asked questions
Does Cadence enlarge the video?
No. Resolution stays the same. Only the frame count changes.
Does it invent new content?
It invents in-between frames of motion that was already there. It does not change what the shot is of.
Cadence or Still?
Cadence for smoothness. Still for noise.
