Motion X
Cinema-grade, slower
Highest quality video path for films and commercials. Noticeably slower and dearer per second than Motion. Upscales up to 8K.
Output is built from detail already present in your file. Nothing is generated, so the result stays true to what you uploaded.
What Motion X is for
Motion X is the video model for deliverables. It is the highest quality path UpRes offers, aimed at footage that will be colour graded, projected, or shown on a display large enough that per-frame artefacts would be visible.
It is noticeably slower and dearer per second than Motion, and that is the whole bargain. If the clip is going to a social feed, Motion is the better use of your money. If it is going on a cinema screen or into a client deliverable, this is the one.
When to pick Motion X
Film and narrative work
Short films and music videos where temporal flicker would be unacceptable.
Archival restoration
Home movies and broadcast tape where fine grain and skin texture matter.
Client deliverables
Anything that will be projected, graded, or inspected before sign-off.
Frequently asked questions
How much slower is Motion X than Motion?
Noticeably. It does more work per frame. Budget several times the clip duration rather than roughly the clip duration.
How far can Motion X upscale?
Up to 4x the linear dimensions.
Does Motion X invent detail?
No. It recovers detail and holds it consistent across frames. Nothing in the video catalogue generates content that was not in your footage.
Which plans include Motion X?
