Frequently asked questions
What resolution do product images need to be for Amazon, Shopify, and Etsy?
Amazon requires a minimum 1000×1000 px on the longest side (recommended 2000+ for zoom). Shopify recommends 2048×2048 px. Etsy recommends at least 2000 px on the longest side. UpRes can take a 500px source image and upscale it to 2K or up to 8K to meet these requirements.
Does AI upscaling improve product photo quality for e-commerce?
Yes. AI upscaling can recover fine texture detail — fabric weave, surface finish, labeling text — that gets lost when product photos are shot on a smartphone or at low resolution. This improves perceived quality and can reduce return rates from mismatched expectations.
Can I batch upscale a product catalog with UpRes?
Yes. UpRes supports batch processing on all plans. The Business plan API allows automated upscaling via POST requests — ideal for pipelines that process new SKU images automatically.
