Mirage: generative upscaling for art and hero images
Mirage is the only model in the catalogue that invents. It generates plausible new detail: texture on a surface that was a flat smear, structure where the original had none. That produces the most striking output UpRes can make, and the least faithful.

Why Mirage for art and hero images
- Produces detail no faithful model can, because it is making it up.
- Reaches 8x, so a small source can carry a full-bleed hero.
- On art and campaign imagery, generated texture reads as intent rather than error.
Workflow
- 1Decide first whether fidelity matters. If it does, stop and use Prism, Flare or Lumen.
- 2Upload to UpRes and pick Mirage. The picker labels it as inventing detail.
- 3Choose 4x or 8x.
- 4Compare against the original at 100% before you publish it.
Honest caveat
Mirage output is not a record of your file. Never use it on documents, identification, product listings or anything that may later be treated as evidence.
