Upscale illustrations and line art with Prism
Flat colour fields and hard line work break the assumptions a photo upscaler makes. Prism holds edges instead of smoothing them, so scanned illustrations, comics, posters and printed graphics come back clean rather than fuzzed.
Prism adds nothing. Output is built only from detail already in your file, so the result stays true to what you uploaded. More about Prism
Why Prism for illustrations and line art
- Hard edges stay hard: no halo, no softened outline.
- No invented grain on halftone print where grain does not belong.
- Flat colour stays flat instead of picking up photographic noise.
Workflow
- 1Scan or export the artwork at the highest resolution available.
- 2Upload to UpRes and pick Prism.
- 3Use 4x for print, 2x for web.
- 4Check the smallest lettering in the result before you sign it off.
Honest caveat
Prism will not add texture that was never drawn. If you want a more dramatic, invented look on artwork, that is Mirage, and it will change your linework.
